Spirit Publicity Coordinator

Position Assessment:
As Spirit Publicity Coordinator Caryssa and I have been in charge on many things starting off this school year. On the first day of school we ordered enough cookies to hand out to all the students as a first day of school treat. We had gotten the whole leadership class to come early and help pass them out. We ordered so many cookies that we had to pass them out at break and lunch for a couple of days after until the students took them all. The cookies caused the students to start their day good and appreciate the school more for caring. I also created the first day of school posters for the staff and for the students to hang up on the first day of school. This helped the students and the teachers to feel welcomed being back at Ripon High. For Club Rush week, Caryssa and I sold the Pride Tribe shirts everyday besides Friday. We got good feedback and many people bought them. Everyone like the shirts and we will be continue selling them at sports events. This is my first year at this job so I am getting used to handing candy out to the students. I noticed that the freshmen are starting the year off well with spirit.
Standing Committee:
The Standing Committee that I am apart/in charge of is Pride Tribe. Right now Caryssa and I are finishing selling the Pride Tribe shirts. We sold them during Club Rush week and now we are selling them at football games, volleyball games, and school lunch. We are selling long sleeves with vinyl of all the sports on the sleeves. The T-shirts look the same but don't have the vinyl. We Already did the cookies and the first day of school posters. This month was also the first time I did spirit count and I really enjoy it. I have shown spirit and Thursday is college day so I am ready for my role.
Special Committees:
This year I am honored to be a trainee with Anthony for the Black Light Rally. Natalie was in charge and taught Anthony and I everything that we needed to know. We walked around with her, set up for the rally, and learned how everything works. She ordered the black lights and tape that the whole class cut to give students to place on their phone lights. Anthony and I went with Natalie to go get a rope from JROTC. During the Rally we planned minute to win it games, and tug a war. We also put tape on the floor so it would glow and had the seniors run out during the rally and be pumped up. I was in the rally to help move tables and to pump the crowd up.We also cleaned up the whole rally afterwards. In my opinion it was a success.
Concerns:
This is the first month of school so I don't really have that many concerns, but I think that our class should do something to get our class closer because there are still people I don't know that well. I don't feel so close to the class, so I think we should do something about that. We also need to start taking spirit class photos, so we all feel united. As for my role and I will work on this, I will start communicating with Caryssa more about events and any questions I have about our role. Rather than those, I don't have that many concerns.
Positive Comment:
This month I have noticed many positive things. I think our class has learned to become better leaders due to the "book dare to lead". As my role as Spirit Publicity Coordinator I realized how well the classes that I am assigned to count spirit in, are good at dressing up. I also like doing the portfolio online because it is easier to get to. The Rally went very well, Natalie did a great job at being on top of things and making it the best it could be. Club rush also went very well. I sold Pride Tribe shirts which many students and teachers bought them. lastly, everyone enjoyed the rally and many people came.
Change:
In our school, Ripon High, I want to see all the students get involved in sports, events, clubs, academics, spirit, etc. Last year we lacked many spirit but this year I hope it changes. I want our class to get the students involved and to feel welcomed. Also I want the students to be healthy. Many of the students do drugs and other bad things so I want to help and impact their lives in a good way, this has become a problem. I would also like the students to cheer at sports events and connect at a school, as a tribe.
My Impact:
I have impacted the school in a couple ways. I dress up for every spirit day which causes students to have the confidence to wear spirit too and not feel alone. I also keep standards for myself and keep them which causes me to stand out and have students not be afraid to stand out with me. I want to be a comforter, someone to talk to. I love Ripon High so I show my Pride hoping to get others to follow. I also try to get to know everyone at RHS so I hope I make peoples days get more positive when someone talks to them and complements them. I want to be the best I can be for the school and for my classmates. Put my time in for others rather than myself. I am making the school a better and safer place, and have people walk off campus with smiles.

Spirit Publicity Coordinator
10/23/19
Position Assessment:
I am the Spirit Publicity Coordinator with Caryssa. During September and October we have worked on selling our pride tribe shirts. We sold them during lunch on Thursdays and Fridays. Soon we started to sell them at freshman football and jv volleyball games so then the parents could by them too. We are looking into selling them at games. As Publicity I give molly all my spirit counts. We are ordering in candy but right now our focus is mainly on the shirts.
Standing committee:
For standing committee Caryssa and I are in charge of Pride tribe. Like i said in position Assessment, we have been working on selling our Pride tribe T-shirts. We sold them during school but now we sell at sports games such as JV volleyball and freshman football. This is to allow parents, teachers, and students who didn't have the chance to get them to at the sports games. We also count all the spirit. Caryssa orders candy so we won’t run out and we do spirit counts every spirit day.
Special committee:
Special committee, the first thing I will talk about is the Black light rally. It happened in the beginning of September but it went very well. We used sources from people rather than buying a lot so we saved money. Also the BBQ for the beginning of the school/ club rush was also last month. Many kids were involved. I sold Pride Tribe shirts during it but everyone had a job so it wasn't scattered. Lastly the tri-tip. The whole class got the amount of 15 tickets to sell. It was like a contest and we had groups. I ended up selling more than 50. The tri-tip drive thru is on 10/24/19 and the whole class are assigned jobs so it all goes smoothly.
Concerns:
My concerns for right now is a solution to get all the Pride Tribe shirts sold fast. We ordered many so it has been taking a while to sell them all. Caryssa and I will find more dates that we will be able to sell T-shirts. We were also low at candy at one point for spirit counts but we have that covered now same as for baskets to hold the candy. We should try to get more kids involved and help them feel welcome in big events.
Positive comment:
A positive comment is that our class has worked so hard. During homecoming each class was competitive and got involved. Our class but a lot of time, effort, and got many kids to help with homecoming. Students in school had a lot of spirit and dressed up too. Rallies have also been amazing.
Change:
If I could change something, I would change the attitudes of some students. I hope for the school to be a more positive community where everyone will feel included and have fun. I would change the attendance of the students who come to the High Schools events to rise. I want the school to be fun for everyone, and show our hard work.
My impact:
For my impact I feel that I have welcomed students. During Spirit counts, I try to learn about a class. I dress up every dress up day which I hope gets students to be more comfortable. I try my best to become their friends so they would want to get involved. And for my positive attitude o make people smile and be happy. I try to do a lot for the school, I want everyone to enjoy High School. I hope everyone can see my love and pride for this school so they could do the same

Spirit Publicity Coordinator
Position Assessment:
As Spirit Publicity Coordinator with Caryssa, We’ve been up to date on spirit counts. W just finished warm and fuzzy week. We weren't able to do spirit counts on Thursday and Friday due to important leadership projects in class. Morty just restocked on candy, getting us ready for Winterfest. On the 14th was Ripon’s football championship so it was a great chance to sell Pride Tribe Shirts. Caryssa and I were not able to be there so we reached out to some of the students in the ASB Leadership class. Also as a team, Caryssa and I gave a presentation for the Valley Christian High School about our spirit and Pride Tribe.
Standing Committee:
As a team again, Caryssa and I are also in charge of the Standing Committee Pride Tribe. It's pretty much the same as our position but we are working on getting Pride Tribe shirts to be sold more. When Caryssa and I both can find time we will go to sports events and sell T-shirts. We have talked about it but now we just need to find times. We also did sell them at the football game. There were over 500 people so it should’ve been a good crowd of people.
Special Committee:
The Special Committee that I was apart of was first the Shadow Box. Individuals from our class volunteered to write gratitude letters and take photos of us hanging them out. When were done we went to decorate it. We put most of the letters were in it, and decorated it with the theme. Another Special Committee right now that I am in is the valentine committee. So far we have gotten partners and an amount of hearts that we need to cut out. When it comes to Valentine's Day we will take the hearts to the walls.
Concerns:
My Concerns for the class so far is not very big but would be helpful. I feel the Caryssa needs to keep me updated on many things. Sometimes she talks to Morty but doesn't tell anything. Its kind of hard on me but I will try to talk to her more about it. During the Yearbook Rally I think we could've done better with practice because it was hard to lead the people we had to a certain spot. But besides that, things are going well.
Positive Comment:
The Letters we did for the soldiers and receiving some back was a really amazing experience. It was a positive result and put smiles on everyone's faces. The Winter Formal Dance went well too. Many students enjoyed it and it wasn’t as hard to clean up like the past dances were. Also for the presentation as a whole in class, I feel that our class did very well and fixed the mistakes that they had before. Do better next time, every time and fail forward.
Change:
The only thing I would change is school spirit. I wish that our class could get more kids involved and ask their friends personally to dress up. We should also start taking spirit photos as a whole class like last year, it showed more of an impact. But besides that, I have nothing for now in mind.
My Impact:
My Impact is talking to students individually to dress up for spirit days. I lend out spirit clothing so then we could get spirit points. Also when I have free time, I use it to cut extra hearts for my committee rather than be on my phone the whole time. I have also started a service project called LightTheWorld, I have done it everyday since day 1 in December. It is a way to help others rather than yourself. My goal is to make others happy.

Period 5
Spirit Publicity Coordinator
Position assignment:
Caryassa and I have been doing spirit counts for all the spirit days these past months. During Winterfest we had many of our students dress up and we ran out of candy. I also turned in a form to GG and was able to sell T-shirts at one of my wrestling meets. I stayed at the table until I had to wrestle and got Brian Ochoa to watch it for me. At one of the basketball games we were able to sell a couple of them. Caryssa and I took some lunch off to sell shirts but no luck, we might have to sell them next school year.
Standing committee:
Spirit Publicity Coordinator, We have sold shirts a couple times throughout January. We have made sure to keep track of spirit counts. We had to order more candy due to how busy winterfest was. Dress up days the whole week caused the candy to empty. Not much but caryassa and I will start jetting ready for jamba juice for the winning spirit class.
Special committee:
The special committee for January and February thus far was the talent show and the Valentine hearts. For the Talent show, I helped put up fliers. The day of the talent show, the class and I met up at the school to decorate for it. It was a big success so that was great. For the valentine hearts, I got Juniors. I don’t know many but the ones I did, I made sure to try extra hard and write the whole paper small writing. I got texts from them and they were very grateful and happy.
Concerns:
Some concerns that I have with the class is that we get distracted easily, but I want to kinda focus my concerns on myself, position, and Caryassa. I have been working but I feel that I don’t show it as I used to. I’ve had stress overcome me and my social life has been harsh so it's been messing me up. I've doubted myself due to some influences in my life so I haven’t been doing what I could be doing. I try though, I really do. My position and carissa, I love my job in leadership but when I try to collaborate with Caryassa I get no info back which is hard for me. I want to learn from my position but i Kinda need her too. But I will work on talking to her and be better. I’ve been shy lately which I am going to motivate myself not to do.
Positive comment:
We have some very positive students in our class. We might be crazy at times but we really do care about each other which I love. The sophomore class has been on top of everything which is amazing. I helped build the shopping cart, they had everything organized. Our class has been stepping up and dressing up more. And the leadership class did very well on their speeches. I was very impressed.
Change:
My change is to change myself to do better, so then I am a better leader. But for the school, I want to motivate the students to get more involved, to dress up more, and to not be embarrassed by it. I would also like to motivate my classmates in not procrastinating because we all do it a lot. Make the students of Ripon High happier.
My Impact:
My Impact right now is to give people simple compliments which make their day. I also encourage my class to dress up to get us points, and One day they will look back and be happy they did. I am here to be their friend but also a motivator. I want to impact the students' lives on Campus and create more smiles.
